Suddenly, the bridge goes dark as the Visual Communications Receptor signals an incoming call. The Athene, Supreme Military Intelligence Commander of the Interplanetary Syndicate buzzes on the VCR screen.

“Why am I not surprised, Longsuffering, to once again find you stalking Troi without outright approach,” she says.

Longsuffering responds tentatively: “Supreme Commander Athene, I have a 360 on the enemy but just received intelligence that one of our prometheans, warrior AX01 has gone berserk. Reports are coming in that he disintegrated a legion of our own on Troi shortly after battle. ISLA-496 is currently debating lockdown to allow time to debate his return to base.”

“Watch what you say there Longsuffering, you might look a coward. Do not let fear and personal feuds distract you from your duty.”

“What are you saying?”

Suddenly, a messenger bursts onto the bridge with a bang. She cries: “Captain, AX01 has landed. He approaches presently.”
